Roadshow Transportation in New York

By the time your roadshow reaches Manhattan, your CEO and CFO can recite the deck in their sleep, and the city holds many of the investors whose orders will fill your book. One day here can hold eight or more one-on-ones, plus a group meeting or two. What nobody gets to rehearse is the drive between those meetings, one tower after another, through streets that move differently every hour.

We take your executives from one address on that itinerary to the next with our New York roadshow transportation, whether the trip supports an IPO, a corporate or municipal bond deal, or a non-deal roadshow after earnings. The bank lines up the investors, and we line up the cars behind them, so your team only needs to bring the deck.

The Investor Map of New York

Your meetings in the city will likely cluster in a few neighborhoods. Park Avenue and the Plaza District in the East 40s and 50s still house a large share of the names on your list, while the far West Side has grown into a second hub, with BlackRock, the world’s largest investment firm, at 50 Hudson Yards on Tenth Avenue and West 33rd Street. Some days also take you to Lower Manhattan, where the towers around the World Trade Center and Brookfield Place hold their own share of asset owners and advisers.

Connecticut may well feature in your week too, since Point72 and dozens of other hedge funds work out of Stamford and Greenwich, about 45 minutes or so northeast of Midtown.

Room to Talk About the Book

Between meetings, you may need to talk through the trip’s most sensitive details: early indications of demand, where price talk is heading, or what to tell the board. Securities rules already limit what your executives can say in public during an offering, so none of that belongs in a cab. In our vehicles, the only other person present is a chauffeur whose job is the road ahead.

For the Associate or IR Lead

You may be the associate or investor relations lead who assembled a day that starts with a 7:30 a.m. breakfast and ends after the closing bell, and your biggest worry is simple: the CEO arriving ten minutes late to the one meeting the deal depends on, with the investor’s team already seated. We review each itinerary in advance for gaps that look workable on a calendar but leave little margin on Manhattan streets.

Hudson Yards sits only about two miles from Park Avenue, yet a midday crosstown drive can take 25 minutes, so when two meetings at opposite ends of town sit 30 minutes apart, we tell you at booking, while there is still time to ask the bank to move one.

Arrivals and Departures on a Roadshow Week

Three airports tend to bookend the Manhattan leg, and each one plays a different part:

  • JFK International Airport (JFK) is the main international gateway into the city, so anyone flying in from London or Hong Kong for a US listing usually lands there, sometimes straight off an overnight flight with a breakfast meeting already waiting in Midtown.
  • Boston tends to come next, and the Delta and American shuttles that fly there leave from LaGuardia Airport (LGA), which serves mostly domestic routes.
  • Private jets land at Teterboro Airport (TEB) in New Jersey, one of the country’s busiest business aviation airports, roughly 12 miles from Midtown.

At JFK and LaGuardia, we track your flight and meet you the way you prefer: inside at baggage claim, which helps an executive who has never landed at JFK, or curbside, with the vehicle right by the terminal door, which saves minutes when the whole team carries on. Once the last meeting wraps up, we drive you to whichever of the three your onward flight leaves from.

From CFO-Only Trips to Launch Mornings: Our Fleet

Expect the roster to shift as the week goes on, with bankers joining you for some days and dropping off on others, so we assign a vehicle from our fleet to each day’s lineup:

  • A lighter post-earnings trip with just the CFO and head of investor relations needs nothing more than our three-passenger Cadillac XTS, and you arrive at each lobby looking like a meeting, not a motorcade.
  • With a banker or two along, there is room for everyone in our Cadillac Escalade, a full-size SUV, and the briefing for the next fund happens on the way rather than in a waiting area.
  • Launch mornings draw the largest crowd, and with our Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, lawyers, bankers, and executives pull up to the kickoff in one vehicle instead of a line of sedans double-parked outside.

If you want to know how we work under pressure, our Google reviews are a good place to look: “The service is always superior and the cars are pristine! They are beyond professional and I feel confident and safe when using them personally or for the executives with our company. You can always count on prompt responses to inquiries. They are always onsite before they need to be, and can adapt to changes if needed. There is no one else I would use! Thank you Ali!” (J. Donohue)
